Two subtle app features which save me a boatload of time

2 not so new, but incredibly useful features which will make me live a bit longer.

The screenshot tool, Jing, is a pretty good tool for snapping, editing and saving images and vids to share. The best thing about it, though, is that it uploads instantly to the web and automatically adds a URL to your clipboard, so you can paste it into your email, chats, etc. It shaves seconds off of the typical workflow. And, it’s free.

The other time save is the 37Signals Launchpad, which joins all of my different Basecamp (and other 37s apps) accounts into one central sign-on location. The biggest time save they thought of was to bookmark the last location under each account, so I can switch between accounts as if they’re all open books sitting on a library table. Pretty subtle, but super slick.
